Deutschland: Rammstein returned with a masterpiece

To return after a decade of silence - so as to become the main newsmakers of show business. Considering the standards of the modern entertainment industry - with its bet on one-day stars - this seems something incredible. However, the cult Rammstein again did not play by the rules - and not just "hyped up", but literally put the whole world on its ears.

For the sake of this, the Germans did not even need to release a full-length album: the premiere of the record (entitled, as it turned out, without problems - similar to the collective itself) it will take place only in a month and a half. Judging by the playlist in Apple Music, 11 songs are waiting for us.

So, nine minutes of timing - including an intro to the disturbing ambient and an outro to the piano lyrical motif from the song Sonne (also the owner of a resonant clip with distinct bdsm motifs, which is clearly no coincidence, given the specific relationship of the group with the archetypes of the long-suffering homeland). In fact, it is a stylish mini-movie with a blockbuster design, dynamic editing and a darkly ironic plot.

Rammstein's signature postmodern games begin immediately: the main role - passionate Germany, struggling through centuries of its bloody history - is "performed" by a grotesque projection of the current FRG, which, in turn, is played by a black girl. The image is downright indecently straightforward for a progressive Western society, although there are many others hidden behind it, less conspicuous (black is one of the main national colors of Germany, in particular). But these are still flowers. Where the berries are - so it's in an express tour of a charming black woman in German history. Or rather - according to the most frightening, dirty, bloody and unsightly pages of the German past, sewn into one eclectic video essay.
